INTERNAL ALTERATIONS

This project involved the opening up of the hallway in a Richard Watts designed listed building on Legh Road in Knutsford. The original house had been split into two dwellings but unfortunately our clients occupied the half of the house that had the servants staircase leading to the upper floors. They had a magnificent hallway, but the rather insignificant staircase was tucked away behind a wall. The brief from the clients was to open up the staircase wall and supply and fix a purpose made, french polished, oak staircase.
